Every December someone, usually an EA or a chief of staff, gets a list of 40 names and a budget. The luxury corporate gifts go out: whisky, a leather portfolio, a gift basket. By February the whisky is gone and the portfolio is in a drawer. A 14K gold pendant made around your company, with one line engraved inside, is still being worn years later.
That is the case for jewelry. The rest of this guide is how to do it well. I run my own fine-jewelry brands as well as Grandior, so I see gifting from both sides of the counter. The first three questions are nearly always the same. Is there a minimum? No. Can every piece carry a different name? Yes, they are made one at a time. Will the box say Grandior? Never. Your brand, your card.
Why does jewelry beat the usual luxury corporate gifts?
Because it gets worn. A good bottle is one good evening. A gold pendant goes on most mornings, and when someone asks where it came from, the answer includes your company.
The people at the top of the list are also the hardest to buy for. A board member already owns the pen, the watch and the monogrammed notebook. What they don't own is a piece made for one company, with a date inside that only a handful of colleagues share. That can't be ordered off a shelf, which is the point.
The material does the rest. Solid 14K gold, a certified lab-grown diamond and a hand-polished surface read as considered the second the box opens. Nobody mistakes it for swag.
Which moments are worth a piece of jewelry?
Pick a moment the person will remember anyway. The jewelry gives it somewhere to live.
- A board seat or a retirement. One piece, often 18K, with the date of appointment or the years served engraved inside.
- Making partner, ten years in, a new title. These overlap with service awards. Our guide to years of service awards covers running them as a program.
- A deal that closed. One matching piece for everyone on the deal team, with the deal name or date. The lucite tombstone sits on a desk. This goes on a wrist.
- The leadership offsite. Same design for 20 to 100 people, each with their own initials.
- Year-end. The biggest run of the year, split across staff, partners and top-tier clients.
- Your best client accounts. One at a time, when a contract renews or a project lands. For those, read client appreciation gifts.
What can you actually have made?
Rings, pendants, bracelets, earrings and charms, in 925 sterling silver, gold vermeil or 10K, 14K or 18K gold, in yellow, white or rose. Diamonds are IGI or GIA certified lab-grown diamonds, labeled lab-grown on every card and certificate. Natural diamonds and colored gemstones are available on request.
Start from a ready design in our private lookbook of 500+ designs and add an engraving, or have something drawn for your company. Custom CAD starts at $55 per design, or $250 for detailed work, and the design is yours once paid for. More in custom jewelry manufacturing.

What works for a mixed group?
Pendants, chain bracelets, bangles and plain bands suit almost anyone. With 60 people and 60 different tastes, choose one of those and let people pick only the metal color or chain length.
A pendant on a plain chain is the safe default. A slim band is perfect for people who already wear rings and a gamble for those who don't. Studs are lovely, but fewer people wear them, so offer them as an option rather than the default.
How do you get ring sizes without ruining the surprise?
Mostly, you don't ask. Asking a chairman for a ring size gives the game away, so most companies pick pieces that need no size at all.
- Pendants and charms need no size.
- Bracelets come in set lengths. Our samples use 6.5 in and 7 in, other lengths are made to order, and an extender built into the clasp covers most wrists.
- Rings need a plan. Put a sizing card in the box and make the ring when the size comes back, or agree up front how resizes will be handled.
Is ordering 100 pieces different from ordering one?
Only the list changes. One piece means one name and one address. A hundred means a spreadsheet, and every row becomes its own piece, packed and shipped to its own person.
| Step | 1 piece | 100 pieces |
|---|---|---|
| Design | Ready design or CAD from $55 | Same, approved once for all 100 |
| Sample | Optional | Strongly advised, from $259 |
| Personalization | One name, date or line | One row per recipient on a list |
| Packaging | Your box, pouch and card | Same, with a card per recipient |
| Shipping | To one address | To each recipient, or in bulk to one office |
| Dispatch | Within 7 days of confirmation | Confirmed per order |
- Approve the design. Pick from the lookbook or send a brief with your logo, a sketch or just the idea. Custom designs come back as CAD and renders for sign-off.
- Hold a sample. For a big run, order a sample to check quality in the metal you plan to give. Every piece in the run is checked against the sample you approved.
- Send the recipient list. Name, shipping address, phone, metal, personalization and size where needed.
- We make each piece. Cast, set, polished and finished in partner workshops in India, then packed in your branding. The recipient never sees Grandior.
- Each piece ships. Tracked and insured, to 20+ countries. Delivery after dispatch varies by country and prevailing conditions.
When should you place year-end orders?
Earlier than feels necessary. A new design needs CAD, your sign-off and a sample before production starts, and custom timelines are confirmed per order. A ready design with a short engraving is the quickest route.
Count back from the day the gifts are handed out: design approval, sample, production, dispatch within 7 days of confirmation, then delivery, which varies by country. If the offsite is in mid-December, the first call belongs in the fall, not after Thanksgiving.
How should you tier the budget?
By recipient, not by average. Most companies already sort clients into tiers, so use the same logic for gifts. Silver or vermeil for the wider team. Solid gold for senior leaders. Gold with a certified lab-grown diamond for the chair or a retiring partner.
Production is quoted per design, metal and stone. Get a number for each tier before the budget goes up for sign-off.
Are corporate gifts tax deductible?
It depends who receives them and where. These are pointers as of October 2026, not tax advice.
| Country and recipient | Rule | Source |
|---|---|---|
| US, clients | $25 per recipient per year deductible as a business gift | IRS Publication 463 |
| US, employee service or safety awards | Tangible personal property excluded up to $400, or $1,600 under a qualified plan | IRS Publication 15-B |
| Australia, employees | Minor benefits exemption below $300 notional taxable value, if infrequent and irregular | ATO |
| New Zealand, employees | Unclassified benefits exempt up to $300 per employee per quarter and $22,500 for all employees a year | IRD |
US clients. Only $25 per client per year is deductible as a business gift. A gold piece blows past that, so buy it for the relationship, not the write-off. Our guide to realtor closing gifts explains the rule and what counts toward it.
US employees. IRS Publication 15-B lets an employer exclude tangible personal property given for length of service or safety achievement, as part of a meaningful presentation. Cash, gift cards and gift certificates don't qualify. Jewelry is tangible property, so it can fit. The conditions are in our guide to years of service awards.
What changes in Australia and New Zealand?
The pieces, the ordering and the packaging stay the same. What changes is the tax on gifts to staff, which both countries handle through fringe benefits tax.
In Australia, the ATO's minor benefits exemption covers a benefit with a notional taxable value under $300 that it would be unreasonable to treat as a fringe benefit. A solid gold piece will often sit above that line.
In New Zealand, the IRD treats free gifts to staff as unclassified benefits. They are exempt up to $300 per employee per quarter and $22,500 for all employees over a year. Have that conversation with your accountant before the end-of-year function, not after.

Questions founders ask
What are good luxury corporate gifts for executives?
The best ones are personal and last for years. A solid gold pendant, band or bracelet with the company's mark or an engraved date fits that. Pick designs that need no size, or plan how sizes will be handled, and ship each one in your own branded box.
Can corporate gifts carry our company logo?
Yes. A logo can be engraved, or turned into a small motif cast into the piece. Use only marks your company owns or has permission to use. Many firms keep the logo subtle on the jewelry and put the full brand on the box and card.
Are corporate gifts to employees tax deductible in the US?
It depends on how the gift is given. As of October 2026, IRS Publication 15-B lets an employer exclude tangible personal property given as a length-of-service or safety award, up to $400, or $1,600 under a qualified plan. Other gifts follow other rules, so check with your accountant.
How far ahead should we order year-end corporate gifts?
As early as you can. A new design needs CAD, your approval and a sample before production, and timelines are confirmed per order. Ready designs move faster. Delivery after dispatch varies by country, so build in room before the date you hand gifts out.
Can each gift ship to a different country?
Yes. Send one list with each recipient's name, address and personalization. Each piece is packed in your branding and shipped to that person, tracked and insured, to 20+ countries. Agree up front who pays import duties in each country.
Are staff gifts subject to FBT in Australia?
Not always. As of October 2026, the ATO's minor benefits exemption can apply to a benefit with a notional taxable value of less than $300, if it is infrequent and irregular. A solid gold piece will often be over that, so ask your accountant.
