Lab-grown diamond jewelry prices at US retail are lower than most new founders expect. In October 2026, a 2 ct round lab-grown solitaire in 14K gold sold for about $3,050, 1 ct total weight round studs for about $700 and a 5 ct round tennis bracelet for about $3,550. Use these numbers to set your own prices.

Every brand we work with asks the same question before they launch: what does the customer pay elsewhere? So we built the benchmarks ourselves, from what US retailers actually charge, and we publish them here.

How we measured lab-grown diamond jewelry prices

We recorded live US listings for each of our ready designs at Blue Nile, James Allen, Ross-Simons, Kay, Zales, Jared, Clean Origin, Grown Brilliance, Quince, Betteridge, Allurez, Kohl's, Walmart and independent jewelers. For each design group we fitted price against total carat weight, then read the fit at each size and rounded to the nearest $50.

Three rules keep the numbers honest:

  • Selling price only. Some large retailers show list prices 1.3 to 3 times what they charge. We ignored list prices.
  • Like for like. Halo, pavé and five-stone pieces are compared on their full stone weight, not the centre stone.
  • Outliers out. Marketplace sellers, inflated anchor pages and style mismatches were excluded.

All stones are lab-grown diamonds. Under the FTC Jewelry Guides, a lab-grown diamond has to be described as lab-grown, laboratory-created or similar, right next to the word diamond. Price your range on that basis, and label it the same way.

What do lab-grown diamond rings cost at US retail?

A 1 ct round lab-grown solitaire in 14K gold retails for about $1,750. Designs with more stones climb faster, because total diamond weight drives price.

Lab-grown diamond earrings: what the market charges

How much is a lab-grown diamond tennis bracelet?

A 3 ct round lab-grown tennis bracelet in 14K gold retails for about $2,600, and a 7 ct for about $4,400. Tennis bracelets are the category where buyers compare hardest, so know these numbers before you price.

Round tennis$2,600$3,550$4,400

Emerald-cut tennis$2,450$3,900$5,350
Oval and round tennis$2,950$4,600$6,150

How does the metal change the price?

For the same design and size, 18K gold retails above 14K, and 10K below. Silver and gold vermeil sit in a different band altogether, because most silver lab-grown jewelry is sold by mass-market retailers.

Metal1 ct1.5 ct
925 sterling silver$650$900
Gold vermeil$700$1,000
10K gold$1,550$2,100
14K gold$1,750$2,400
18K gold$2,100$2,900

How should a brand use these benchmarks?

Use them to decide where you sit, not to copy them. Work out your full landed cost first: piece, packaging, shipping, duties and payment fees. Then choose a position against these numbers.

Our samples page shows a US retail benchmark next to every size, so you can see the gap before you order. If you are still working out the full budget, read what it costs to start a lab-grown diamond jewelry brand. If you import from India, duties change your landed cost: see jewelry import duty from India to the US.

Next step

Order two or three samples in the metal you plan to sell, hold them next to what you see at retail, and set your prices from real numbers. If you want help choosing designs for your price point, browse the lookbook or book a call.

Questions founders ask

How much does a lab-grown diamond engagement ring cost at US retail?

In our October 2026 research, a 1 ct round lab-grown solitaire in 14K gold sold for about $1,750 and a 2 ct for about $3,050. Halo, hidden-halo and five-stone designs cost more because they carry more total diamond weight.

How much is a lab-grown diamond tennis bracelet?

A 3 ct round lab-grown tennis bracelet in 14K gold retailed for about $2,600, and a 7 ct for about $4,400. Emerald-cut and mixed-shape bracelets sit higher at the same carat weight.

Do these prices include the setting?

Yes. Every benchmark is for the finished piece, metal and stones together, at the price the retailer charged on the day we checked.

Why are list prices higher than these numbers?

Many large retailers show a crossed-out list price well above what they actually charge. We used the selling price, because that is what your customer compares you against.

How often do lab-grown diamond jewelry prices change?

Lab-grown stone prices have fallen for several years, so retail benchmarks drift down over time. We recheck these every quarter, and the numbers on this page update from our price sheet.
